This course will provide participants with an overview of the challenges nurses face in establishing safe and effective staffing solutions to improve patient and nursing staff outcomes and satisfaction. This comprehensive course can be utilized for nursing staff throughout all healthcare settings and experience levels as these barriers to establishing safe and effective staffing solutions can apply for all. Within this course, the participant will review how healthcare facilities across the country are currently staffing nurses and supportive personnel, explore how inadequate staffing negatively affects nursing staff and patient satisfaction, learn about current staffing solution initiatives to improve ratios and patient outcomes, discover ways to advocate for increased nursing staff and patient satisfaction related to staffing, examine how to identify barriers to safe and effective care related to inadequate staffing, and learn how to create a culture of teamwork among all members of the healthcare team.
